available for others to enjoy as well. Our dogs are the long haired variety of Icelandic. They are very active dogs and need lots of exercise, i.e. places
to run, explore and learn. Whether running beside my bicycle or on the beach at the ocean, exploring our local primitive park
trails, or herding sheep, they are ready for any adventure, as long as they are with their people.
We look forward to our first litter in the fall of 2008. A neighbor/owner of an Icelandic, suggested we go to the Icelandic Sheepdog Association of America's (ISAA)
web site.(www.icelanddogs.com) We found a breeder in our
area and purchased our first Icelandic, SHERWOOD LAKODA. It became
evident that he was more than a pet quality Icelandic, so we
began looking for a female to breed him with. We were blessed with a friend in the ISAA, who informed us of an available
female. We
contacted the breeder and arranged for KEALMAJO'S BOTNIA to be brought in from the Netherlands. Sherwood
Lakoda (Call Name: Kodi)~ is a very active alpha male. Which means he THINKS he is in
charge of every thing and every one. He loves to work and is most happy
with a job to do. Lakoda is also very intelligent and expresses his opinions verbally on everything. He is the quintessential Icelandic in looks and temperament. (He herding everything and being ever vigilant to let us know if anything is a miss, true to their character quality as guard dogs.) He is from the Palmahaus line which is one of the oldest lines in the U.S.

Kealmajo's Botnia (Call Name: Bonni)~ is a very loving, sweet,
gentle, happy and good natured dog, who just wants to be as close to
us. Because of her gentle and loving nature, she will
make a wonderful mama. Botnia is a great match to
Lakoda as she is the only one that can keep up with him or keep him in
line! Her sire and dam are beautiful dogs, and her dam is a rare
chocolate Icelandic Sheepdog. Visit their site at www.ijslandsehond.nl/. Sire: Skuggi Fra Thytur Stadir Dam: Vinkaergard Ida DOB: 01/23/2006 AKC FSS: DN19120401 UKC:P554-912 ISNA: 2006-0044 PennHIP: L = 0.67 R = 0.72 Cerf: IS-299-2008
